How to 3d Print – a beginners guide, Part 3

Solving a real world problem

So the printer sits and sits and sits. It says it can help solve all your problems but just looks at you, waiting.

Then it comes! The shops are shut, the cupboard pole has collapsed – what do we do?

We fire up the design programme (See Part 1), a simple circle with a cut out circle and voila…..

We created the pole holders and the pole is back in the cupboard …. no shops visited, 2 hours looking online stopped (took 4 hours to get it right with about 3 prints)

Solving a real world problems with 3d printers is possible – now imagine 70 million citizens armed with such technology.
