Since the Donald was sworn in as the 47th President there has been little but chaos in his administration. Steve Bannon intimated that changes would be coming fast and haphazardly, mainly to keep the Democrats on the back foot. They need a sound bite to rally round. If you give them too many at once they get a bit lost. Since then they seem to have gotten their act together and are now concentrating on having their pet judges try to stop whatever the President decides.
Couldn’t happen here. Don’t be so sure. Satan Blair politicised everything including the judiciary. Keith is following in his footsteps and doubling down, he knows which levers to pull to get the desired result. See Micron and Le Pen for a French example.
The latest wheeze is the tariffs. Now I have no idea how it will pan out but surely it is an attempt to get the manufacturing jobs back in the USA. Make it in the USA and pay no tariffs. It all sounds too easy. There will be a bit of pain on the way there but can you do without the newest Mercedes. I can predict that the Eric car industry is going to suffer bigly as is some of the British car industry. Rolls and Bentley are owned by the Erics and Jaguar Land Rover is tn the hands of the injuns. Will we be bovvered ?
The left are howling about the affect this has all had on the stock markets. Normally they would not be at all bothered but seeing as it is the Donald, they are all over it. My two cents worth is that stock markets always overreact and sometimes in the wrong direction. All will be clearer in a couple of weeks.
I have been somewhat perturbed by the noises about Iran being bandied about. Does the USA really want to launch a bombing campaign against the Iranians ? It is one thing bombing their proxies in Yemen. It is quite another dropping bombs on the Ayatollahs no matter how unpopular they are internally. One can easily detect the malign hand of Netanyahu pulling multiple strings. For once Keith has stayed schtumm thereby proving he is not as completely stupid as we thought.
In the background there have been promises to release various documentation such as the JFK, MLK and various other conspiracy theories. After a few months waiting we are still on the edge of our seats. Not much has been released and nobody has been arrested and charged, I still reckon that rather like his first term, Trump still has a few fifth columnists working for him, Laura Loomer is working hard to winkle them out.
In Ukraine he is doing his utmost to end the conflict but Putin now sees a way to gain ever more territory and is making excuse after excuse to delay a ceasefire. In his position I would do the same. I believe it was BBC TW who posted a link to a New York Times article that explains in great detail how the Americans have been running the show since 2022 from Wiesbaden. As usual the Ukrainians were being advised rather than commanded by the yanks and true to form sometimes various factors intervened to stop what were certain victories. Not the least of these was Zelensky being a bit previous when he needed a big victory before some conference or visit and going against all recommendations. I was a bit unsettled to read that the drones they used to sink Russian warships had been designed to stop a tiddly wink invasion of Taiwan. I suppose said drones are now in the hands of the tiddlies who will be designing counter measures. I did read their latest test invasion of Taiwan had just been stopped as discovered they didn’t have enough barges.
My suspicion is that the Donald and Vlad the bad have got an agreement of sorts and when he has extracted the maximum he can on the ground, a ceasefire will start. This is not what Trump wants but will he have enough patience to wait. In the meantime Keith’s coalition of the willing is going nowhere and it never will.
On the US southern border life seems much better, the invasion has slowed to a trickle. As for the deportations, as much as the aforementioned pet judges rule against it, scumbags are being deported. If only we could do the same. All we hear are ever more ridiculous reasons why some criminal cannot be deported.,
We cannot fail to mention the land grabs the US is gunning for. I always thought the Canadians were quite happy not being American. I am not convinced the Donald is going the right way about ensnaring the Canucks in the Union but what the hell do I know. There are plans afoot in Alberta to secede and join the union. I will refrain from making any prediction.
As for Greenland, I don’t see why they would want to remain under Danish control. They are apparently treated like crap by the Danes and would probably be better off as a US Territory. However the fate of Alaska may be a warning, life is not great for many Alaskans either.
The third land grab is the Panama Canal, now supposedly under the control one way or another of the Chinese. With the water shortage causing massively reduced amounts of shipping and at least two other potential Pacific to Atlantic routes being investigated, is the Panama Canal a viable proposition in the long term.
Elon Musk and his DOGE teams are setting the world on fire, all the little scams the Democrats have concocted are being unravelled. I desperately await some of their big names being charged with corruption and the same applies to many on the Republican side. As usual the MSM are ignoring it and pretending nothing has changed. I was particularly pleased when they took a look at USIP (the Institute of Peace). After refusing to allow DOGE in DOGE were finally escorted in by the police. They found that the USIP people had erased all their data but Elon said “We have recovered it all, we know tech better than they do*. Bit of an understatement there. Someone in Ukraine has published a list of yank politicians and how much they accepted in bribes. Yet again the MSM are ignoring it.
I have otherwise to ask if there wasn’t a Federal system or NGO the Democrats were not robbing blind and the answer has to be they saw all of them as income streams. What on earth have they done with all that money ?
