Bash 2025 Report

The site has changed under the new owner. Perhaps not quite as bucolic but it’s good to see the place busy and hopefully making money because the alternative would likely be another housing estate. Things could also be better organised but who wants more rulez. Next year I will do my best to ensure we have our own space.

I always wonder what we’re going to do all weekend (drinking obvs), forgetting that I’m going to be running to the shops and cooking on and off all weekend. There’s always something to do. It was without doubt the best time of year. Weather was fine if a little windy Friday and Saturday and having 18 hours of daylight meant we never even made it to the pub. We were all happy enough sitting around talking and pretty much done by the time the sun went down though I may be speaking for myself, fuelled mostly by Rosé as I was.

Food and drink was available aplenty. Cooking was a little difficult with the wind but I had my ‘apocalypse’ induction hob which worked perfectly well. Next year I may buy some disposable BBQs to give us more options. Shopping Friday and Saturday meant we didn’t end up throwing away much food and as drink was being divided up Sunday we were obviously never in danger of running out of booze. I even left my kind gift of JD with B-bob – never to be seen again.

Speaking of B-bob, without Mr & Mrs B-bob I wouldn’t be doing this. Without their help it would all be too much, so a big thank you to the two of them. Thank you to everyone who came, it’s good to see old friends and meet new people.

Everyone said they had a good time and will be back next year.

I’ll start organising Bash 2026 in January.

Finally, and best of all, there were no casualties and as far as I know no complaints.
