Edward Samuel Miliband is a Right Honourable not because he is honorable, rather the opposite in fact, neither is he right, he is a big lefty but he carries this title because he is a member of the Privy Council by virtue of having served as a Minister.
Every time I hear the name Ed Miliband certain thoughts spring to mind. These include, but are not limited to, him being (metaphorically) crucified, the Edstone disaster when he led the Labour Party, him down in the fire and brimstone where even old Nick finds him repulsive, him looking so lovingly at the doom goblin but most of all I think of “deed of variance”.
This was used as a way of reducing the future Inheritance Tax bill some time after his father pegged it. I feel sure Old Nick found his father just as repulsive because there is no way either of them is headed upstairs. This deed moved ownership of some of the family home into his and his brother’s names. The father died in 1994 when his mother, who is still alive, inherited it and as spouse, no tax was due. The deed reduced the mother’s share of the estate to 60% while the brothers each received 20%.
This kind of deed was often used before 2007 to reduce tax bills before the new transfer rule came into effect. Basically had the house been sold for £750,000 then the tax bill would have been £170,000 but after the deed this would have been reduced to £78,000.
In 2010 the Torygraph reported that the idiot Ed had sold his share of the house to his brother and thereby incurred some capital gains tax. Maybe this was the cause of the gurning while eating a bacon sarnie.

Let me just say this: I paid tax as a result of that transaction. I’ve avoided no tax. No doubt the Conservative party wants to smear mud today. But, frankly, it’s not going to work. The story has been written before. And I’ve paid tax on that money.
It is obvious to any man with one or more eyes that the deed was an attempt to reduce future tax liability. That he later sold his share to his brother meant he paid CGT but nowhere does it explain why he sold his 20%.
This whole saga raises a very interesting question if not an observation. Politicians are the ones who create all this tax legislation which HMRC gleefully and vindictively implements, often interpreting the rules in their favour. You could be called a fool for thinking that these politicians enjoy paying the taxes the rest of us suffer.
Think again. They have all sorts of loopholes for getting round tax legislation and if all else fails they write the expense rules so they can claim it as expenses. In contrast to claims that everyone agrees to paying taxes, it is clear that politicians only agree that other people should pay taxes, why should they get away with it.
Those of an inquisitive mind may have noticed I have refrained from calling him Milimong, Militgit, Militwat or any other of those other monikers he has acquired over the years though the title of the piece may well include one of those handles.
His father was one of the commie bigwigs and while growing up the brothers had the cream of British commies be entertained in the family home. Eric Hobsbawm was one such. A right commie whoo was held in high regard in the milieu of the left. We cannot forget Tony Benn who was as commie as they come as well as various members of ANC from South Africa.
In common with many, sometimes it seems like all, fellow politicians both brothers studied PPE at Oxford. This goes a long way to explaining why they are as useless as they are.
This rant has forgotten the net zero nonsense, or has it. Net Zero is a theory that all the climate problems are caused by an excess of carbon dioxide. I cannot see how well educated and otherwise intelligent people have fallen for this scam, it may have something to do with funding and grants. All the historical data shows that CO2 levels rose about 800 years after an increase in temperature. How on earth you can conclude that CO2 causes a rise in temperatures is beyond me. Be it beyond this poor mortal’s understanding, academics and politicians have dived into this head first to the extent that they are now trying to ruin us. It is difficult to conclude that this policy has any objective other than to ruin us.
Notwithstanding my oft repeated allegation that he is on a promise with the doom goblin if he pushes his net zero agenda far enough, I fail to see why any sane person would be stressing the climate change rubbish. Either there is a handsome drink in it or they are trying to destroy our civilisation.
The results of the net zero insanity are catastrophic. We have the most expensive energy in Europe if not the world, much of this is down to alleged green taxes and subsidies. We have cut ourselves off from our resources but continue to import them, how does this help the country. The logic of the greenies defies description. Every step they take increases pollution somewhere else and pollution does not stay where it originates.
In a recent debate in the Commons about saving the Scunthorpe steelworks, Ed and his net zero nonsense came in for much criticism. So much so that he slunk off in shame. He doesn’t like it up ‘im.
He obsesses about clean energy, this is the only kind he wants us to use but it is so expensive and that is with all these green subsidies in place. His fellow lunatic, Dale Vince, is no better and he is making millions from this green scam. Here is a quote from a recent tweet

The only mitigation I can offer is the Tories were little better and they were the ones who jacked up the standing charge to levels never seen before and did nothing to hold the price down.
The buffoon’s latest attack is on Reform UK as he calls their approach to net zero nonsense and lies. This is Goebbels level logic. His entire energy policy is based on nonsense and lies.
