Details of a letter (1) signed by a wide cross section of an entirely unrepresentative clique of the Aspiring Great and Good Loose Women, accusing the Far Right of jumping on their favourite bandwagon, asylum seekers and many continuing protests outside former hotels in various locations. They claim the protesters, many women, are mistaken, made fearful and exploited by dark forces. To these signatories the predominantly Moslem sexually active aged men in these former hotels are no threat to the women or their female children, or not sufficiently so.
Leaving aside what scale of sexual assault upon female children is bearable to our soi-disant feminist elites for the moment, I tend to agree. I don’t think all these young men (young to me at least) are all sex maniacs. However, that is not the real point. Why are they here? In another televised interview a critic of the non existent U.K. immigration policy was – it is the only word that fits – hectored for asking why these asylum seekers had travelled through several, indeed many, peaceful countries to throw themselves on to the U.K.’s benefits system. His interrogator never answered this point. They were here. They were fleeing persecution, even from countries that have have no internal conflict, or had one and it’s over now. Many seem to have left their families back in the killing zone too. But it’s Blighty’s duty now to look after them, feed and water them and give them money. Lots of it. Just not so much our own people; even making an allusion to one’s ‘own people’ is today dressed up as being deeply fascistic.
I see no necessity for this tiny island (2) to take everyone who wishes to settle here. The character, skill set, whatever, of these economic vagrants means nothing to me. Post colonial Home Rule hasn’t quite worked out so well for the masses apparently. Dare Brits say it? Some come from places we ran smoothly for decades but they insisted we left. Unfortunately, as recent experience has taught we westerners so harshly, peace love and tranquil prosperity are ideas that don’t transplant at all well.
Time to cut the last ties of colonialism: You are on your own. Send them all back regardless of their sex drives. Their countries need them.
