Ordo ab Chao, the motto of the 33rd degree of Freemasonry, is the art of bringing order from chaos. The connection will become clear pretty soon in the article. Of course if the Hackney Abacus or the Tottenham Turnip cast their eyes in this direction I will probably be accused of racism and/or sorcery because they will be confused beyond measure. Come to think of it, the Knob might be hard pressed to understand it.
We all realise, or at least we should, that the Donald thrives in and on chaos, mostly of his own making. The dealings with Iran fall well within this definition though there is one slight difference. There is also chaos on the Iranian side so in effect we have chaos pitched against chaos. How many times have we heard a deal is round the corner when it all keeps going in its own weird way. We have already heard at least one Iranian say that he has no idea what the American position is because it is always changing.
There can be little doubt that Netanyahu stitched the Donald up like a kipper with this Iran war. Probably said it would all be over in a matter of weeks only it wasn’t. As mentioned below, the Donald is basically a salesman but he has been trumped (geddit ?) by the Israelis or perhaps they have other kompromat.
My own suspicion is that the Donald has some kind of plan which will involve peace in the Middle East but is it even possible. All of the problems seem to stem from Iran; Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis are all proxies nominally controlled by Iran.
There are reports, perhaps even credible, that there is a deal with Hamas whereby they disarm and clear off to Turkey leaving the rubble that is Gaza to Trump’s Board of Peace who are ready to redevelop it into multiple variations on Trump Tower. The rumours are that Hamas thinks it will eventually be able to slink back, build more tunnels and hide out in them. I suspect the Sultan may have the final say on all that and if it doesn’t benefit him then it won’t happen; his goal is naturally the reconstitution of some of the Ottoman Empire with him as the Sultan in the sublime porte. The problem with this is that the Israelis want all the Palestinians from Gaza exported to somewhere else, I wonder if Bodybags will offer them refuge, Rodney Spanner always seemed on the brink of doing it. The one thing you really really do not want in any country is Palestinians. Whatever their grievances they are nothing but trouble.
There are also credible reports that Lebanon and the Israelis are close to a deal whereby the Lebanese take over all their territory and expel whatever remains of Hezbollah after the IDF have had a go at them. The end result would be a Hezbollah free Lebanon and a stable Israeli border. The Syrians also seem to be under the Sultan’s thumb and so would be unlikely to welcome Hezbollah back. This is the first time in 30 years that Israel and Lebanon have had official contact.
So far so good, it all seems to be swinging in favour of a relatively peaceful solution even if it has taken considerable violence to reach that stage.
The dark people in the pile of wood are the Houthis who seem to be out of control and the IRGC in Iran. I keep reading that 100 years ago Iran gave refuge to 4,000 Shia muslims whose descendants have ended up in charge since 1979. Many who claim to be Persian want nothing to do with these lunatics and want to see them gone. There are also frequent assertions that these Shia are actually Turkic and not Persian. However true this may be the military wing of the Shia, the IRGC, seem to have the upper hand in Iran right now.
The Americans say they are negotiating with the Iranians, the Iranians deny this and say any contact is via third parties but contact is taking place one way or another. The problem Iran has is that there are several factions all scrapping for power. Anytime the more reasonable Iranians come close to any kind of agreement the IRGC pop off a few missiles and drones, attack a ship near the Straits of Hormuz and everything gets reset back to the beginning. The Donald has threatened to bomb Iran back into the Stone Age if they don’t get their act together but some of the more extreme fanatics welcome the thought.
I take exception to the Donald in some respects especially his braggadocio. The man cannot resist boasting of his achievements even if they only exist in his mind. Now I am convinced he is basically a salesman and such people only ever look on the bright side. I used to work for one who only had to say hello to a customer and as far as he was concerned he had sold them everything. If it seldom worked out that way it never fazed him, he just went on to the next punter. That is the Donald in a nutshell, he does tend to occupy something of a fantasy rather than reality but maybe I do him a disservice. He does get many things done.
The biggest weakness in this continual chaos is that it gives the lefties the perfect opportunity to snipe at the orange man. There is perpetual change in the Donald’s demands and the left are able to state he does not know what he is doing. The never ending “we are there” and then abruptly “we are not” gives the revolting specimens in the MSM no end of lies to peddle. The only certainty is that nobody really knows what is going on and I often wonder if that includes the 47th President of the United States from time to time.
There are many reports that several factions are involved in a power struggle in Tehran and that the Kurds in the North West and in Iraq, having been armed by the Americans, are attacking Iran. There are also reports that the IRGC are rushing troops to that area to counter the insurrection. The Israelis also claim to know where the top guys in all branches are and there may yet be another round of decapitation to come. We must never lose sight of the threats of the lunatic branch in Iran that they will scupper any kind of settlement. It looks like regime change will be necessary in order to remove the IRGC from the equation. Will we see the rise of an IRGC Corporal ?
As far as the Houthis in Yemen are concerned, it has all kicked off again with their fight against the internationally recognised government in the east of the country and also the Saudis. I think the Americans will have to start bombing them again though they were not particularly successful last time. I can only say they enjoy large assemblies of their supporters, a real target rich environment.
As far as the Straits of Hormuz are concerned, in the long term the affected countries are planning or already have pipelines that will bypass the Straits completely, removing any Iranian hissy fit from the transit equation.
All of these potential peace deals and there are several all wrapped up in one will require the agreement of Israel. So far there is no sign that the lunatic Netanyahu will sign up to any of these deals. Let’s hope he is in a minority of one and gets the big E when push comes to shove. Things are not looking good, Israel has now said they are prepared to strike Iran without the agreement of the US because they feel Iran needs more punishment. It is unlikely they are bluffing.
The final point to be made is that Israel has now rejected the American plan for Gaza for “reasons”. I can only ask the question even though the Palestinians are to my mind revolting, who is the darkest person in the pile of wood and it just has to be Netanyahu and his acolytes. How on earth they will ever achieve a settlement while that man is in charge is beyond my little grey cells.
By the time this gets published it may all have come to pass or it may have all gone pear shaped and fresh hostilities broken out. I can make no predictions, it is more up and down than a bride’s nightie.
