Andrew John Gwynne is the MP for Gorton and Denton. He was suspended in 2025 because of offensive messages he had written on WhatsApp,
In 1996 he was elected to Tameside Council and has done nothing but politics ever since.
During the 2017 GE campaign Gwynne called the Fat Turk a pillock in a debate over Brexit. I for one feel unable to disagree with him there.
In 2018 Gwynne was outed as a member of a FaceAche group that had posted anti semitic material. When a reporter badgered him about it he claimed he had been added without his permission. I have no idea how FaceAche works but it seems unlikely to me.
Again during 2025 he had a bit of a rampage with some decidedly off colour messages he posted on WhatsApp.
A constituent who had complained about bin collections received the following reply “Dear Resident. F*** your bins. I’m re-elected and without your vote. Screw you. PS Hopefully you’ll have croaked it by the all-outs”.
He later wrote that the Hackney Abacus standing in for Keith at PMQs was a joke for Black History Month and retweeted a tweet making sexualised references about Crayons.
His final one was observing that American psychologist Marshall Rosenberg’s name sounds too militaristic and too jewish. He then asked if Rosenberg was a member of Mossad
For these transgressions he was suspended and claimed he deeply regretted his badly misjudged comments and apologised for any offence he had caused. A second Labour MP, Oliver Ryan, was also investigated in this scandal.
There are also rumours he would be prepared to step down to allow bodybags Burnham to take his seat though the latest one in the frame is Graham Stringer.
Multiple accusations of anti-semitism do cast something of a cloud over his repeated denials and excuses but much of the Labour Party tread that same path. They seem to be in thrall to the Pallies and their ilk.
On the 22nd January 2026 Mr Gwynne announced he would be stepping down and there would be a by election soon. This has widely been heralded as opening a path for bodybags to return to Parliament. Hold them there horses. First he has to be adopted as a candidate and Rodney “you plonker” Spanner will try to scupper that. Then they have to have a date for a by election and that is not set by the MP standing down and finally bodybags would have to win said election. So far it looks like a three horse race between Labour, Reform and the tit whisperer’s Greeny bar stewards. There will be shenanigans.
