A bandwagon minus its wheels

Burnham’s notable achievements:
After leaving office, reports claimed that Burnham and his predecessor as health secretary, Alan Johnson, had rejected 81 requests for an inquiry sitting in public to examine the high rate of deaths at Stafford Hospital
4th in the list of top ten most outrageous expense claims – another ‘thief’.

The wheels are coming off the Bodybags bandwagon already; they may actually be off already and if not, probably will be by the time this gets published. In a mere couple of weeks our Andeh has managed to prove he does not have what it takes to be PM and even worse lacks judgement. Labour has buyer’s remorse as they reach the conclusion that he is a duffer. Take his turning up in Kiev looking even scruffier than Zelensky. Later in that same trip he had noticeably borrowed a suit from somewhere but the sleeves were at half mast and he looked even more ridiculous. Why didn’t he at least travel with a suit or maybe he doesn’t have anything but a Marks and Sparks special. He will need a trip to Savile Row before he meets the Donald or he will be using the tradesman’s entrance at the White House. FFS he was even pictured strumming on a guitar during his trip, proper sixth form stuff that is, all it needed was a man on the bongos.

This government is now facing something of a power vacuum and it’s not only nature that abhors a vacuum, it is even more true with politics. Never mind, Crayons can see her big chance and while backbenchers are daily becoming more disillusioned with the eyebrows, our Ange is working hard cultivating her already considerable support among those hundreds of MPs itching to get a foot on the first rung of the greasy pole and the usual support of the unions. It is certain that the tax dodger will not be the only one eyeing up the main chance. I believe our gurning Foreign Secretary still harbours ambitions to get his feet under the table at Number 10, the one in’t South at a guess.

It is alleged that someone has already bought the lettuce that Bodybags will be compared to. There are even wagers that Bodybags will not even make the three months that Liz Truss managed in the job and that is held up to be the lowest possible bar. He is in a really tough place because so far he has been reacting to events rather than dictating them. See his latest pronouncement on building 7,000 council houses a year. This is just replying to Richard Tice’s announcement about building 50,000 homes a year for 10 years. At least Tice, for all his faults (e.g. being a wet rag), is a builder and has years of experience in property development.

Every time the skanky manc opens his mouth he commits to spending yet more millions of pounds we don’t have. The backbenchers, you know the ones who objected to reducing a proposed increase in spending on welfare, want even more spending but we are probably at the stage where any increase in taxes will not result in an increased tax take. Forget the jug eared crisp salesman’s plea to pay more taxes along with 100 or so of his fellow millionaires. If they wish to, nothing is stopping them from voluntary payments to the Robbery. As the example of that lunatic Ugandan in New York shows, the rich will vote with their feet if you try to tax them any more. And the background to that is the usual loony left commentators have been saying the millionaires will stay and willingly cough up. I wonder if messers Stadlen, Lis, Nelson and the boy Jones will read this, I hope they choke on their yoghurt and muesli if they do.

The much hyped snap election has been denied once again. The aforementioned backbenchers are very worried that even if Labour win, hundreds of them will lose their place at the trough. Don’t discount a Labour win, Farage and Reform in general are doing their level best to avoid forming a government and that old chestnut of collaborating with the Tories has raised its ugly head in the last few weeks. That would be the kiss of death, never ever trust a Tory and the anchor baby has by no stretch erased the public’s memory of how bad they were last time. Reform is still full of fifth columnists. One of the more obvious being that wet rag Tim Montgomerie. It is hard to imagine a bigger traitor, he is even keeping the ball rolling by appealing his suspension from Reform, what better way to portray a divided and weakened party, Farage needs to man up and boot him out completely and ask himself why he ever allowed dim Tim to join.

The latest on working with the Tories came in a piece published in multiple outlets including The Times, the Torygraph and GB News. It reports Giorgia Meloni met the anchor baby in Rome and warned Kemi Khazi not to do a deal with Reform. Following a furious reaction by Nigel Farage and a just as furious one by Meloni herself, The Times at least has been forced to withdraw the part of the story about Reform and it has now disappeared down the memory hole. Shades of Winston Smith in Orwell’s 1984 there. If this is the kind of thing we can expect during an election campaign , one it shows the desperation of the Tories who can’t get their poll numbers up and two it portends a really dirty campaign. These are obviously the interesting times the tiddlies have been promising us for ever. The Times has gone further in the shape of columnist James Marriott who described Meloni as a charismatic politician whereas the anchor baby is a B-minus version. This comes on the back of Tory polling being described as dire and that is being charitable. I am heartened to note that the Nigerian is pretty unpopular. The latest proof is that she is going to reshuffle her shadow cabinet after the summer recess; always a sign things aren’t going well. In a party of spivs and chancers I would rate her as one of the worst chancers going.

I would caution against doing any kind of deal with the blue lot and the rift between Rupert and Nigel looks so wide as to be beyond repair. Reform are just going to have to do this on their own. With Nigel being a massive grifter it is odds on he has quite a few financial skeletons in his closet. No doubt investigators are combing the archives while we puffins spend our time supporting the brewing and distilling industries. On the other hand all donations to all parties are now being scrutinised and most other parties will have dirty laundry they do not want aired.

For several decades now the quality of our Prime Ministers has been on a downward trajectory. We all thought NikNak was bad, Rodney Spanner was the pits and it couldn’t get worse. Along comes Bodybags Burnham and proves us wrong, I think he is slightly worse than the toolmaker’s son. If Crayons manages to push him out and take over herself, the mind boggles. She will be even worse than Bodybags. Could we sink even lower after her ? Probably only if cLammy makes a comeback.

Does anyone feel sorry for the self anointed King o’t North, he is likely to be on the backbenches before long with little hope for a future. He will lose his seat in Makerfield, they only voted him in to get rid of the Spanner. Does the ermine beckon ? It just has to, after all being a Fabian has never been a bar to the upper chamber. In case there is any doubt I can only wish piles and piles of brown stuff all over him.

And finally even the Treasury now admits that a wealth tax is not feasible. This can only mean one thing, they are going to implement it in one shape or another because it is not meant to be effective but rather vindictive. Let’s let those rich so and so’s feel everybody else’s pain.
