Now Biden has officially dropped out of the race to be the next President of teh US – after earlier running for, and securing the nomination of the Democrat Party.
Biden didn’t drop out because of some new health problem – he dropped out because his existing health issues were outed. For those living under a rock, Joe Biden’s last debate performance against Trump was a humiliating disaster that made it clear he does not have all of his mental faculties. Prior to that, White House flacks and their stenographers in the credentialed media had strenuously denied that he was declining and insisted, for years on end and despite mountains of evidence to the contrary, that he was sharp as a razor.
We now know that was a lie. Biden has always been unfit to stand for reelection and he just admitted it. Given his manifest cognitive decline, he was unfit to hold the office of the President. And yet we now know – for a fact – that for three and a half years the Biden Administration, the entire Federal Government, and the credentialed media has conspired to pretend otherwise.
Shockingly, this pretense appears to have been “complete” – despite a lot of loose talk, little evidence for a shadow government running the show in place of the incapable Biden has ever emerged. He seems to have been in charge, dementia and all, whilst his underlings loyally executing every order he mumbled out. This state of affairs continued for three and a half years until it became manifestly obvious, in a public forum, that Biden was incompetent. Then – and only then – did political pressure emerge for him to step down.
Vice President Harris saw him every day.
She knew.
The White House staff saw him every day.
They knew.
The Cabinet Secretaries, who along with Vice President Harris are charged and empowered by law to invoke the 25th Amendment and fix the problem, saw him routinely.
They knew.
The Pentagon knew, and apparently the yes-men on the Joint Chiefs would have saluted and fired the nation’s nuclear arsenal at targets of his choosing had he given the order.
The vast Federal intelligence and law enforcement apparatus knew, and did nothing.
Scores of Representatives and Senators knew, and kept their constituents in the dark.
Hundreds of foreign dignitaries – including Pope Francis – were introduced to a shadow of a man and said nothing, whether to curry favor or out of diplomatic decorum.
Last but certainly not least, the media, ostensibly charged with speaking truth to power, instead gaslit the public about his condition. The only accurate reporting on the subject, as it turns out, came from the anime-avatar internet rumour mill and conservative outlets on the bare fringes of respectability.
The scale of the institutional failure here, and the scale of the tacit conspiracy to hide Biden’s condition from the public, simply beggars belief. The coup against the electorate of the US that has been put in place by the Democrat Party that has enabled – almost seamlessly – the torch to be handed to a previously rejected nominee – who has never received a delegate nor won a primary.
I keep thinking back to the 1993 political comedy film Dave, in which an impostor is hired to impersonate the President after he suffers a debilitating stroke in a sort of modern-day retelling of The Prisoner of Zenda. I never realized just how plausible that scenario would be, provided the American, and indeed Western, political establishment was on board with it………
