Ever since that rogue Bill Clinton came up with his triangulation thing there has been a consensus in British politics that you have to occupy the centre ground to have any chance of winning an election. The obvious clue that this is not quite true is that if it were, the LibDems would be governing us. A trifle unfair I agree because the LibDems are far from a centrist party, some of them are to the left of the communists, many of whom infest their ranks but nevertheless they occupy a position between the Socialists and the Tories. One of the big winners in the triangulation stakes was Satan Blair, as usual he promised much and delivered very little of it instead he concentrated on undermining the status quo.
So young Nigel wants to send some of our offenders to jail in El Salvador. M’learned friends will be salivating at the prospect of a new Mercedes at least. The chances of him pulling that off is minuscule, every yooman rites law will be unleashed to stop it. Mind you, if only we could implement such jails here, we could make a fortune.
Over recent months Reform, mainly in the shape of Nigel Farage, have been changing their tune on just about every policy that appealed to those voters sick to death of LibLabCon. I always had the impression that Nigel’s political background was Thatcherite. It rather looks like his grifter side has taken centre stage as he tries to be all things to many men, excepting of course those who supported a real reform of this country.
I fear that if he ever reaches Number 10, and that is very unlikely, he will be just as useless and even more lazy than the fat Turk. He has succumbed to the usual politician’s obsession that just by saying something means it will come true. As we all know, and our inept dear leader is a shining example, you have to make things happen. You can’t just say it and then hope for the best.
I feel that many potential Reform voters would be delighted to see all illegals deported but Farage has now turned round and said there are too many of them so we can’t deport them. The promised Minister for Deportations has morphed into a direction of travel. The more there are, the more planes we will need is my point of view. I suspect he would still allow the Border Farce to act as a taxi service. My preferred solution would be to stop the boats by any means including sinking them. You would not have to sink many to deter others from trying. There has to be a small suspicion that the new broom called Zia Yusuf has been whispering poison in Nigel’s shell like.
Reform’s latest bandwagon is their claim to be the party of law and order promising to be the toughest government ever. From shipping out our worst offenders in the direction of El Salvador to pop up prisons and courts they have some potentially good ideas but would they implement these ideas. The Tories spent years claiming they were the party of law and order, until it became apparent they weren’t.
Reform are demanding a recall of Parliament in September so that President Trump can address them. It is safe to predict that the vast majority of our MPs detest the very ground that man walks on and so a recall is unlikely to happen. Very few of our Lords and politicians would turn up even were there to be a special opening and the Donald does not like to be ignored.
One very good policy Reform have is to abolish the Net Zero scam. The Greenies and Militwat are having a meltdown over this and I feel this is one step that would be welcomed by a large majority of Brits. The only question is would they abolish all those green taxes and massive standing charges the eejits have piled upon us.
Although Reform still pick up seats in local elections, they have yet to be successful in defending any such seat. With a vast number of new recruits for council jobs there are bound to be a few wrong ‘uns in there. The error of their ways is that politicians often rise from the ranks of local government otherwise you are stuck with a party of PPE graduates rather like we have now and look where that has got us.
After a visit to Albania Nigel claims he has an agreement with the Albanian PM concerning Albanian prisoners being returned to serve their sentence in Albania. Why hasn’t Keith followed up on this and why hasn’t Nigel been badgering our dear leader. In June Nigel claimed he was receiving letters from foreign prisoners in our jails begging to be returned home. I suspect they may well think they will be set free on their return and nobody should be surprised if that is what happens. Albania is reputed to be a mafia state run by two families. It could be said that the mafia, who tend to deliver on their promises, are more honourable than our ruling class.
Even with their recent mis-steps Reform seem to be hanging on to their 34% support and 1st place in the opinion polls. These mis-steps include a Reform Mayor awarding himself a 600% pay increase. Farage is not the only grifter in that party.
Today Kemi Khazi is having a reshuffle, getting rid of nonentities and replacing them with other nonentities. In an attempt to put the kibosh on her day, a Tory member of the Welsh County Council, sorry Senedd, has defected to Reform. Tantalisingly the lady in question refuses to say if there will be any more following in her footsteps. Nigel was of course lapping it up, he loves nothing more than a defection. He needs to tread carefully, many Tories will be useless and even more may be fifth columnists. CCHQ and Keith will be doing their utmost to scupper the usurper that is Reform.
The exception to the nonentity rule is Sir James Cleverly, a man with the most inappropriate name ever, who has emerged from the shadows and been appointed Shadow Minister of Housing. He will be busy counting those 1.5 million homes Crayons has decided to build. Google helpfully informs me that the new build starts to the year ending March 2025 were estimated to be 113,220, a 17% decrease compared to the year ending March 2024. Labour were in office for about 75% of that period. Savills reports that nearly 30,000 homes were registered to be built in Q1 2025. That would be about 120,000 for a year and falling far short of the 300,000 Crayons needs to hit her 1.5 million target. Is it safe to predict that Crayons now needs to build 1,380,000 houses in four years, that translates into 345,000 a year. We haven’t built more than 300k since around 1970. A website named housebuilding estimates that Labour’s first 12 months have seen just over 186,000 new homes, this is a mere 62%, or a 113,000 shortfall, of what is needed to hit the target.
Labour’s answer to this is to concentrate on planning permissions and ignore the elephant in the room that is the shortage of skilled labour. Whoever is in charge, you need skilled trades people to actually build houses. With most of the invaders being doctors, surgeons and rocket scientists help is unlikely to come from their ranks. It has not been disclosed if we are even able to produce enough material such as bricks to be able to construct that many.
Reform in the shape of Nigel just warned that nobody seems to realise how close we are to civil disobedience because the invaders are being spread wide and far. It has been rumoured that the invaders stationed in that Epping hotel are being moved to a Britannia hotel in Canary Wharf. This has been twisted by the left as an incitement to start rioting. Methinks the left are losing their touch.
Reform’s latest prediction is that the Conservative Party will cease to exist after the next set of elections. We live in hope but will Reform stay on track long enough to take advantage. I think they have been extremely lucky to remain where they are in the opinion polls considering the upheaval surrounding them. The MSM, who are mostly Labour shills, gleefully report each time something untoward happens but so far Reform seem bullet proof. This may reinforce the view that most people in this country do not care much for Westminster machinations. Thank heaven we have the puffinry to counteract this heresy.
