Note to self – don’t do a final proof reading late at night after a whisky or two ……..
However, life goes on
I see the Tottenham Turnip and Pixie Balls have different views on Syrian Refugees. He also has been playing the race card over his footwear of colour – size 7.5?? I am a short-arse and for a long time I was an 8.5 – is he a fairy twinkle toes?
I have not been to Syria but I have been to Jordan and Libya. I can assure him they are not next to each other. Maybe someone will give him a World Atlas for Christmas?
We did a six month operational tour in his homeland British Guiana in’65 to guard against conflict between the africans and the rest in the upcoming elections but I cannot recall a significant interaction with a man of colour; the indigenous Amerindians and imported Indians and Chinese however were a different kettle of fish. Lovely country and lovely people.
As I passed through the Covered Market today I saw, on the Sky stand, a headline about a Nigerian Poultry crisis. WTF has that got to do with us? I do not possess a tv so am usually spared such tripe.
A lot of hoo-ha about our beloved leader and his private life.
No one, as far as I can see, has stated specifically any real facts – I suppose there is an injunction in place? I do not go along with this ‘I do not care what he (and the rest of them) get up to in the privacy of their own homes.’ Anyone in elected office who has skeletons in the cupboard can be subject to blackmail and coercion as has been shown many, many times.
Someone mentioned OVO Energy recently. They were supplying this flat when I moved in and I have spent many months, in correspondence with at least four different ‘customer service agents,’ trying to reconcile their charges
As someone who has been deprived of the WFA I am very pissed off at the thought of MPs and others claiming heating costs on expenses. I understand there is no limit on the amount claimable. Looking online the total claim by MPs in 2023/2024 was £420,000. Individuals :
- Braverman £3,945
- Hancock £1,565
- Truss £1,548
- Reeves £2,729 (Office & accommodation)
It was an act of crass stupidity to take away the allowance from millions of pensioners. To make it their first act on being elected shows such a lack of judgement as to be unbelievable.
Starmer appears to have no emotional intelligence at all and the rest are as bad. As it is I wear a heavy coat indoors and only heat one room in the evening. A good present for the elderly this year might be a heated top garment, lots being advertised at present.
I feel sorry for those pensioners who have to subsist on the basic state pension, particularly so when we send shitloads of money to, it seems, the rest of the World as well as paying for millions of invaders. Can we bring Musk or Milie in to sort us out?
The solution is always more tax – when it should be cut waste! What a shambles.
