Elon Musk has prophesied that X will replace the MSM. He may well be right but first they need to clean out the eejits who keep posting so many ridiculous things. This involves just about anything and while not beyond the bounds of possibility they are just as fake as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal and our own not quite as beloved as it believes Al-Jabeeba.
As it stands you see many posts about something that sounds feasible and may even coincide with your own wishes but turns out to be well wide of the mark. I would single out Wendyball and TDS as being the most incorrectly reported areas along with lefties excusing themselves and downplaying legitimate concerns about the left’s disasters.
In the Wendyball field, pun intended, I have lost count of the number of times Arne Slot has been sacked, the Liverpool manager is still in his job, various players have been transferred when they haven’t and ManUnited have been sold to the Arabs, again. It is all rather tedious because you have to check other sites to see it it is true. At some point Slot will go but it hasn’t happened yet.
If you think the Wendyball speculation is wild just take a look at what they spew out about F1. Aston Martin and Honda’s problems are well known but you can find posts that it has all been solved, it will never be solved, it might get better, there is no hope and so on. Red Bull are not what they were and you can find the same kind of posts about them. There is also much speculation that Mercedes are cheating, they are completely genius at making F1 cars and everything in between, which version are we supposed to believe.
The posters are obviously after clicks (or to be vulgar, money) and dream up what they believe people want to hear. I would hesitantly suggest that X needs a Marianna Spring who could fact check but fact checkers have their own baggage to carry. Who can forget that Snopes lot and as for Ms Spring herself, her record is scarcely unblemished though she does have some cracking …. perhaps it is best not to dwell there. Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be and decades ago the press were publishing just as much nonsense as we see today, remember Freddie Starr eating someone’s hamster.
As for the TDS it has now hit rock bottom. When the vegetable from Delaware was President there was not a murmur when he didn’t appear for weeks on end. The Donald has not been seen for a couple of days and all hell breaks loose. He is ill, he is in Walter Reed hospital along with video of a cavalcade only it was taken a while ago. He’s busy bombing the brown stuff out of Iran along with a few other distractions including, we pray, the demise of Bath House Barry and his mob. Speaking of Mr Soetero the latest rumours on X concern the chef who drowned. It is alleged he was having an affair with Big Mike’s husband and was about to spill the beans. The investigation was about to declare it a homicide when various agencies stepped in and made sure it went down as a suicide or accident. I know where my money is.
In fairness to X it has to be said that YouTube has even more disinformation posted though it generally runs along the same lines as that on X. It is hard to discern between reality and CGI/AI and that means you cannot trust your own eyes.
I am at a loss to suggest a remedy other than stringing up all the lefties, that would solve a myriad of problems but is a tad on the harsh side. Give them a fair trial and then hang them you shout in unison, might take a while though and rest assured, I would not be averse.
Watching the MSM in its death throes is an appealing thought. They sold their souls years ago and can now reap the whirlwind. They can go to their Nirvana in the sky, hopefully a socialist one where nothing works and everything is in short supply. You never know, we might just get rid of all those useless influencers. I often wonder whom they influence because it ain’t anyone I know though the teenaged grandchildren may be susceptible.
As wonderful as Elon’s prediction sounds, we are not there yet and it seems there is no great chance that we ever will be. Since I wrote this there has been even more wild speculation, generally from someone with an agenda. If you feel kind, you might like to point out even more examples in the comments.
