With the welcome news at Reform’s shindig that they are going to deport illegals by the biucketload and generally make life less easy for the invaders comes the realisation that we don’t really have the means to do any of it.
As was stated several times during the Q&A after the speeches the major objective was to highlight the Boriswave. In case you are wondering the Boriswave was the influx of invaders during Boris’s turn at the helm. Reform estimates he let in 2.8 million, others place the number even higher. However many it was, the other point of the speech was to highlight the estimated 800k who will soon be able to ask for Indefinite Leave To Remain. Little wonder the fat Turk was getting his retaliation in early.
Now most frequenters of this parish will find much to admire in Reform’s aims so what exactly did Nigel have on offer. One of the big changes is the removal of Indefinite Leave To Remain. This status was available after 5 years here and was effectively a meal ticket for life assuming the recipient was claiming bennies, and I guess many were. The replacement solution is to renew your work visa for another 5 years. Not a perfect solution unless many are turned down when requesting renewal but a good start. They will obviously set conditions on renewal such as no criminal convictions.
As could be expected the MSM’s questions were nowt but one gotcha after another, They found it all rather distasteful and would rather have their daughters be raped than be accused of being racist.
Other points were that the work visas would not allow dependents to accompany the visa holder. This is the case in many other countries and nobody on a work visa would be eligible for bennies of any kind. The threshold for the English test would be progressively raised though how you can stop the professional scribes sitting the exam for others is not clear.
It would take 7 years to get a British Passport as opposed to the current five years. It needs to be pointed out that both Labour and Conservatives have plans in place for an even lengthier delay. The obvious question is to the Tories, why didn’t you do it in your 14 useless years and to Labour why aren’t you doing it now seeing as you occupy the seats of power.
Trying to find the statistics on immigrants is exceedingly difficult. All governments have covered up all manner of details and continue to do so. This is one of the reasons why Reform can’t give a detailed figure of the cost of all this. They are as much in the dark as we are.
The question of deportations arose and the MSM were horrified while Reform were hard pushed to put a number on the subject. It is going to be in the hundreds of thousands and any new illegal arrivals will get the bum’s rush. I assume the Border Farce and RNLI will be discouraged from running their taxi service.
As Patrick Moore used to say “It’s all very interesting but we just don’t know”.
My question would be how on earth are Reform going to carry all this out. First they need legislation, plus the repeal of our membership of the ECHR, and even if they have a majority in the Commons, the House of Lords will kick the can down the road. The quickest answer would be to create a thousand or more Reform Peers. The left would of course explode invoking the name of David Lloyd George.
Assuming they can get all the legislation enacted and get our weak and feeble monarch to sign them into law there then comes the question of implementing the mechanics of this. We have all seen the pictures of the effniks in the Home Office, they will not want to go against their fellow effniks. Plod are now so far left they would never start arresting and deporting people. In the USA they are using the National Guard in some places. We only have the Reserves or whatever they are called today and they have also been infiltrated by lefties after Satan Blair’s politicisation of everything. We would also see the left and Antifa acting against any arrests. The Yooman Rites lawyers will be having a very lucrative field day unless we can chop them down somehow, this not an incitement to violence but maybe legal aid could be withheld.
Having rounded them up it then comes to the deportation part. I can’t see the present RAF doing it, they are as woke as can be. Charter flights will be needed with compliant crews and no lefties getting on board and having hissy fits. Again, not as easy as it sounds. Then we need destinations that will accept their own riff raff back or somewhere they can be held. It ain’t easy and nobody said it was.
Even if we imported Tom Homan from the USA I can’t see him getting it working. The USA is a very different country to the UK.
Maybe Reform are busy planning how to do all of this and I pray they are. The cost of leaving things as they stand is bankruptcy. At least we would not be able to pay all the trillions in reparations that the Tottenham Turnip and his Pally mates are gagging for.
