My Garden

Spring is well and truly here and the garden in Reggie Towers is starting to come to life and looking rather splendid.

Here are some pictures for you to look at whilst you while away the hours….

Here is a small Acer tree bought as a birthday present for me by my daughter a few weeks ago.

We planted a row of Red Robbin (Photinia) bushes to hide an ugly brick wall this time last year.  They’ve grown about 70cm in that time and the colours on the leaves are really attractive, particularly when the sun shines on them.  They make a great hedging plant.

Yes, I know the lawn needs sorting out…..  my excuse is that it doesn’t get much sunlight so the grass dies away in the winter.

A few weeks ago we went on a bit of a shopping spree and bought a few new plants for the garden.  The first of these was this Salix (a member of the willow family) which has an attractive shape.

This is also a type of Salix called Pink Flamingo.  We bought a pair of them to go in two pots either side of a side-door to our garage.

Finally, here are some picture of the tulips I planted in November.  Should be fully out in the next day or two.

I shall send Bob some updated photos when more of the plants in the garden come to life.
