I have come to the conclusion that there are those living amongst us who understand what is going on and those who do not have a clue.
An example of the later was the husband of an English lady in France who I briefly paid to improve my French at the time of the scamdemic. I asked him why he was jabbed and his response was that he went with the flow. He was probably early fifties.
Wandering around Carmarthen today there were a few masks on display.
I enjoyed listening to the conversation between Starkey and the Mogg but I couldn’t help thinking of them as old duffers in the Harry Enfield sketch – ‘Is he a Quare?’
Hi Twinkle, certainly a great sonnet. One of the purest forms of poetry and I shall publish some of my favourite examples of the genre.
It is close to seventy years since I read Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained. Must get back to them……….
Haven’t seen Ieta posting since The Bash (he came from quite far away). I think I know why that is but if we lived nearer and were closer in age he is the sort of chap who would make a good friend. I liked the cut of his jib. If you are still lurking, get back in touch,we need good men like you.
Hadn’t watched Karoline Leavitt for a while so was interested in her latest presser. Apart from being beautiful it was so revealing to watch her facial expressions. Grave when listening to a question, considered when thinking it through. and then, to my mind, either outright rebuttal or a well reasoned response. Really great to see an intelligent operator work. Wish we had people of that calibre to guide the masses to an understanding of what is actually happening.
Had never heard of Elio Pace but stumbled across him on the Terry Wogan show and boy, what a performer and entertainer!
Loved his interpretation of Willie Nelson’s ‘ Funny how time slips away’ one of my all time favourites and so evocative of the initial joy and then loss in a short lived love affair.
Don’t think they write them like that any more.
Came across ‘The Buddy Holly’ story on Utube – had seen it as a film and watched most of it again. The day the music died, so sad, so true.
I recall driving my youngest back to Manchester Uni many years ago and I played some Buddy – she was really blown away and has been a fan ever since.
Thought I had heard he last from the tv Licence people. Got a letter saying pay up as you were using BBC i-player. WTF! they can go and fuck themselves.
