An Old Man’s Musings Part Thirty-Two

Well, jubilation did not last long! Zia returns to the fold and now we have a Chairman who asserts migrants built the Country! God knows what is going on with Farage and Co. I was intending to join Reform; not now. If they are the only possibility at the next election, maybe vote for them, but we shall see.

A good analysis of the state of Reform by Jimmy SP – I keep hoping they will sort themselves out but it isn’t going to happen.

The new leader of UKIP, as I have mentioned before, talks the talk. Not sure how viable they are but I am going to look in their direction.

Correction – there was a sentence missed in my last submission. It should have read :-

Aiso is quite right – have a problem – ask the blog. So much knowledge and willingness to share that knowledge, very refreshing. I often in my mind liken us to a mutual help and support society.

I snorted when I read that an AI company, rather than actually using AI had 700 Indian engineers pretending to be the oracle. One of my favourite singers, Patsy Cline,  had it right – ‘What a crazy world we’re living in.’

I eat a lot of eggs and I want proper large ones – the best I have found (at a good price) round here are from Aldi. Their very large range.

In France I used to buy from a local farm – sometimes the eggs were huge, I felt sorry for the chickens. They were all proper free range too – lovely to see a lot of cockerels strutting around each with their own little harem.

For years I have noticed a taste of fish in some eggs. A bit of research and I see that chicken farmers are permitted to use a certain proportion of fish meal in feed. In my view size (and taste) does matter so I will endeavour to find a free range supply sans fish meal.

The comment by Wildflowers re bodies on Everest is disturbing. So many? Bloody hell.

We did notice whilst training in Kenya that the air was thinner at height, in particular when parachuting. How anyone could tackle Everest without very stringent preparation and the right gear is a prime example of FAFO.

So the Irish PM thinks the Irish are mongrels. From what I see there is a lot of unrest and kickback against the imposition of illegal immigrants. When are we going to start?

Looked at Katie’s Bonkers Britain Tour dates and she will be in Swansea 28th June – ah – date in clash with The Bash. Maybe catch her some other time.

There are a few dissonant voices making themselves heard; another I have a lot of time for is Paul Thorpe – another target of ‘The State.’

Just seeing that picture of the gravestone of ‘Professor Stanley Unwin’ made me smile hugely, A great, and very clever, entertainer.

Not sure if Harry Boyle is in Greece or Cyprus but the mention of Mataxa brandy took me back to times in Cyprus. Brandy sours were all the rage as also was a fortified wine, can’t recall the name, but we called it Pandemonium! It was one night in the UK after Cyprus, drinking brandy sours in the Corporal’s Mess, that my son was conceived…………..

There is an organisation called ARA – ‘While extreme weather is a consequence of climate change there are concerns of abrupt and potentially irreversible shifts in the climate system’

Certainly a statement not proven despite so called scientists saying it is so.

There is also a ‘Climate Cooling Coogramme’. They say that global average temperatures have been 1.6c above pre-industrial levels.

How the feck would they know what the pre-industrial global average temperate was – we have had forecasts here for the past 10 days of Thunderstorms and torrential rain – have see none of it.

How about this for King Canute level brass-neck and fatuous stupidity:

‘We would wish to see this brought down to 1.5c per the target set

out in the 2015 Paris Agreement.’ So, puny irrelevant man is going to control the climate!
